Azure offers a plethora of services and products, which can be divided into
different categories. On this page, we aim to provide an overview of some
services that we consider relevant for the university.
For some of these services, we try to go a bit deeper and even make it easier
for you to get started with example projects.
Role clarification
As those responsible for the cloud infrastructure at the University of Bern, it is impossible for us, in addition to configuring and operating the infrastructure, to know all services and provide good support for them. We see ourselves much more in the role of guides for cloud users on their journey through the Azure Cloud.

Compute

Static Web Apps: Modern web apps with a static front-end and optionally a dynamic back-end and serverless APIs. Even connections to databases are possible here. This is also the ideal service for static site generators such as MkDocs, Jekyll, and Hugo.
Storage
Azure Storage is the managed service of the Azure platform for providing cloud storage. Azure Storage includes several core services. Key questions about your workloads to help make decisions about your storage needs . There is also a decision tree that can help in this regard.
